Crops
In ̶0;Pioneer Trail,̶1; coins are awarded for planting and harvesting crops. In some cases, crops that appear to pay a higher reward actually pay less. For instance, cabbage pays out 419 coins when harvested. Cabbage takes 16 hours to ripen. By contrast, clover only pays out 13 coins and is ready to harvest within 5 minutes. In the same amount time cabbage needs to ripen, you can earn up to 2,496 coins by planting clover instead.
Neighbors
Neighbors are a big help in ̶0;Pioneer Trail.̶1; They can stop by and help to clear brush, feed animals or finish buildings. If you are a good neighbor and visit your friends, you can earn coins, too. When you visit a friend, you can earn 25 coins just for the visit. You can collect from different buildings on your friend's homestead including the bank which nets 250 coins. Add as many of your neighbors as friends on the game to maximize the coins you can earn.
Missions
Missions appear occasionally in the game. The mission can consist of simple tasks such as planting a tree, or something more complicated that can take up to a few days to complete. When you complete a mission, you are sometimes awarded coins. The amount of coins awarded varies by mission. Missions are consistently offered on the left side panel of the game. In some instances, the mission may be timed and offer a greater reward for completing it within the allotted time.
Animals
Animals play a big role in the success of your homestead. As with crops, picking the right animals for your homestead can help maximize the amount of coins you receive when you tend to them. For instance, a chicken only offers 12 coins when you tend to it. The chicken needs attention every 30 minutes. A sheep offers 25 coins every two hours. Although the sheep offers more, the payout for a chicken in the same amount of time is 48 coins.
