How to Loot Drop Traders

In "RuneScape," drop trading is the practice of transferring items from one account to another by logging in with two characters at the same time. The player will have one character drop the items on the ground, then make the other pick them up. As this can create an unfair advantage for leveling up new characters, drop trading is against the official RuneScape rules. Because of this, grabbing items from a drop trader before their second character has a chance to pick them up won't get you into any official trouble. Looting drop traders won't make you any friends, but it's an effective (yet devious) way of gaining some free items.

     Keep your eyes open for a player who is standing around doing nothing. Drop traders often lurk in alleys, empty rooms or secluded places off the road. While some players may be hanging around for entirely legitimate purposes, a drop trader's character will hang around motionless for a while as they try to get their other character to the same location.

     Hide somewhere nearby. Drop traders will be wary about making a drop if there are others nearby.

     Wait for the drop and grab the dropped items before the second character has a chance to pick them up. It is wise to get away as quickly as possible.
