How to Create Your Own Server for The Legend of Mir

̶0;The Legend of Mir̶1; is 3D massively multiplayer online role-playing game. ̶0;Legend of Mir̶1; allows people to host their own private servers. A private server requires a high-speed internet connection. Once you have downloaded the server files, you need to format them to begin running your private server. ̶0;The Legend of Mir̶1; private server settings are located in two .ini files and one .txt file.

      Open your Logdata.ini file.

      Change the Base directory path to point to your server̵7;s Logbase directory. For example:

      [setup]
      basedir=C:\mir3server\Mud3\LogDataSrv\Logbase\

      Save and close the file.

      Open your Logsrv.ini file. Change the port information to the following values.

      [server]
      DBServer=127.0.0.1
      DBSPort=16300
      FeePort=16301
      LogPort=16302
      ReadyServers=0
      EnableMakingID=TRUE
      EnableTrial=FALSE

      This will setup your server̵7;s ports and allow other players to connect to your server.

      Change the log files to the following values:

      CountLogDir=C:\mir3server\mud3\Logsrv\CountLog
      WebLogDir=C:\mir3server\mud3\Share\GameWFolder\
      FeedIDList=C:\mir3server\mud3\Share\Feed\FeedIDLis t.txt
      FeedIPList=C:\mir3server\mud3\Share\Feed\FeedIPLis t.txt
      [DB]
      IdDir='.\IDDB\'

      Save your changes and close Logsvr.ini.

      Open your server̵7;s !setup.txt file. This file contains basic information about your ̶0;Legends of Mir̶1; server. Add the following entries to the file:

      Add setup coordinate files to your server by entering the following settings:

      You may name basic creatures and items in your server whatever name you wish. However, the standard names used in ̶0;Legend of Mir̶1; servers are as follows:

      Save and close the !setup.txt file. Your ̶0;Legend of Mir̶1; server will now be operational.

      Give your friends the IP address to your server so they can connect and play. To connect to private servers, they will need to select the "Multiplayer" option. Once there, click "Find private server" then enter the IP address to select your server.
