On-Screen Help
The game ̶0;Angry Birds̶1; features several on-screen features that can help players defeat the evil pigs. Pinching and zooming in on the screen displays the whole battlefield. Doing this gives a player an idea of where to aim the birds. When a bird is slung from the slingshot, it leaves a trail showing exactly which direction it took. The player can use the trail as a guide for where to aim the next bird.
Bird Types
Each bird in ̶0;Angry Birds̶1; can help eliminate the enemy pigs when used correctly. The red and white birds are best for hitting pigs closest to the birds' launching pad. The yellow bird can take out pigs behind stone and glass structures. The black, white and boomerang birds are powerful and can take out several pigs at once when aimed directly at the pigs' structure. Big Brother bird is the powerful version of the red bird and can annihilate any structure.
Hidden Levels
The hidden levels in "Angry Birds," known as the Golden Eggs levels, offer bonus play. Access points to these levels are dispersed throughout the game. For instance, to access the second Golden Egg level, a player must tap the sun on the level select screen of the game. Eggs are also found during game play inside of other objects such as in chests or at the very top of the screen.
Additional Hints
Before shooting off the next bird, it is best to wait until every part in the pigs' structure has stopped moving. Parts such as stones, rocks and glass may slowly slide off and break, which could leave an opening to hit a pig. Hit the TNT boxes that appear on some levels as often as possible. When hit, the boxes explode and can take out several pigs at once depending on their proximity to the boxes.
