Activated Abilities
The undead have two activated abilities, Will of the Forsaken and Cannibalize. Will of the Forsaken stops the undead character from being affected by fear, charm and sleep. These types of effects are used in combat against nonplayer characters and player characters, making them useful for a variety of situations. Cannibalize restores up to 35 percent of the undead player's health when he uses it on a humanoid or undead mob. Both activated abilities have a two-minute cooldown before they can be used again.
Passive Abilities and Classes
The undead have access to all World of Warcraft classes except druid, shaman and paladin. The undead speak Gutterspeak among themselves and the common language of the Horde faction when around others. Undead characters do not have to come up for air while underwater until ten minutes have passed. An undead player also gets 2-percent shadow resistance added to his current shadow resistance.
History
The undead race in World of Warcraft is called the Forsaken. The Forsaken started off under the Lich King's power as part of his large, subservient undead army. Although the Forsaken were originally human, they do not have kinship with the nonundead of their race. Instead the Forsaken joined the Horde faction and are currently ruled over by Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. The undead unable to leave the power of the Lich King are called the Scourge.
Mounts and Main City
The undead live in Undercity, unique among horde cities by being built almost entirely underground. The Undercity's architecture is arranged in a few concentric circles divided into different quarters, such as the war quarter. Undead players and those who are favored by the undead faction have access to the skeletal horse. Players purchase the skeletal horse outside of the Undercity, in Tirisfal Glades.
