"My Tribe" is a "god simulation" application on Facebook tasking users with keeping a village of islanders alive and thriving. Attending to their nutrition, housing and clothing is essential to their survival, though shoes and hats are available only in the game's "Pearl Shop." Since any item of clothing can have a gem attached to make its wearer more powerful or proficient, buying shoes and hats in addition to the tops and bottoms that can be found in ocean crates adds two more boosts per tribe member.

Log into Facebook and load the "My Tribe" application. You can access a link on the "Apps" list on the main page.

Click "Play," then select the icon labeled "Pearl Shop" on the game's control panel.

Select the "Clothing" heading, where you can click both the "Hats" and "Shoes" sub-categories. Expand either option.

Select an item of clothing and click the "Buy!" icon to add it to your inventory.
