How to Mod Minecraft

"Minecraft" is a computer game in which players mine resources and create items with those resources. In this open-ended game, players use their creativity to enhance the gaming experience. You can alter "Minecraft" with mods to change the gaming world and add more options. Once you have downloaded the mod of your choice, you will need to copy the mod files into your "Minecraft" installation directory.

      Download the mod of your choice. Double-click the file if it is in a .zip format to unpack its contents.

      Open your "Minecraft" installation directory, right-click the "minecraft.jar" file and select to open it with an extracting program such as WinRAR, WinZip or 7zip.

      Copy the mod files into the unpacked "minecraft.jar" file through the extracting program, save and close it.

    • 4

      Load "Minecraft" and the new mod will already be active.
