How to Make a Hidden Arrow Trap in Minecraft

"Minecraft" is an online game where players gather resources through mining and build structures and objects. The game allows unlimited freedom for creation and exploration. However, on multi-player maps you want to protect your buildings and resources from monsters and other players. You can protect your items by using hidden traps that kill unwelcome guests. A simple and hidden arrow trap will shoot arrows at a fast rate to kill anyone who sets it off.

Instructions

    • 1

Load "Minecraft" and enter a game world.

    • 2

Create a dispenser by placing seven cobblestone blocks, a bow and redstone dust in the crafting grid. You may want to make more dispensers, depending on the size of the area you want to protect.

    • 3

Place the dispenser down facing the direction you want it to fire. Do not load it with arrows yet. Place a repeater down behind the dispenser, which will make it fire continuously.

    • 4

Place a wall of blocks two to three spaces ahead of the dispenser. Put a redstone torch on the the block facing in front of the dispenser. Place a torch in front of every dispenser you have.

    • 5

Supply a trail of redstone dust from the torch on the block leading to the repeater behind the dispenser. This will activate the dispenser, but it should still be empty.

    • 6

Add another redstone torch somewhere in the redstone dust path to deactivate the dispenser. Now, if the redstone torch on the block is removed, the dispenser will reactivate.

    • 7

Fill the dispenser with arrows and leave your trap. Should the block with the redstone torch be destroyed, arrows will shoot from the dispenser toward the person who destroyed the block.
