Instructions
Close down any extra programs you have running in the background. Any program that uses the Internet for updates or information will create drag on your connection, causing lag and disconnects.
Switch from a wireless connection to a wired connection. Wireless is convenient, but the signal strength is often unreliable for serious online gaming. If you have to play wirelessly, use a new router that supports faster Wi-Fi speeds.
Upgrade your Web connection. Games like "BFBC2" require a constant broadband connection, so if you are still playing from dial-up or DSL you may see more disconnects than other players.
Update your computer's network and video drivers. Click the Start button and type "Device Manager," then hit Enter. Click the arrows next to "Display Adapters" and "Network Adapters" to see your hardware, then right-click each device and select "Update Driver Software."
Disable any firewall or anti-virus programs you may be running. This software keeps you safe from malicious programs but can also cause a variety of connection issues with video games.
Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements for "BFBC2." You will need at least a 2.0 Ghz processor, 2 GB of RAM and a video card with 256 MB of video memory or better. If your hardware cannot handle the load, you may receive error messages and in-game crashes.
