The Sims Patched Version Cheats

"The Sims" is an interactive simulation video game created by EA and Maxis, available on PC, Xbox and PS3. It allows players to create characters with free will that interact with each other and the environment. "The Sims" PC version is very customizable and many users have created hacks, patches and other mods to enhance gameplay. Most patches and cheats are made for the PC version of the game and most of the cheats work on the patched and unpatched versions. To bring up the cheat box, press "Alt," "C," "Shift" and "Ctrl" simultaneously and type in the codes.

Money Cheats
- Simoleans are the way your Sims buy things they need, like food, furniture and fun. Bring up the cheat box and enter in "rosebud;!;!" without the quote marks. Rosebud brings up money and each exclamation point is worth 1,000 Simoleans. If you enter five exclamation points, you'll get 5,000 Simoleans.
Travel
- Origin and travel cheats let you see where a Sim came from and where they are going. To turn on origins, type DRAW_ORIGINS in the cheat box. To turn it back off, type in DRAW_ROUTES OFF. To see where a Sim is going, type DRAW_ROUTES ON into the cheat box, and to turn it back off, type in DRAW_ROUTES OFF.
Needs
- A big part of the "The Sims" is maintaining your Sim's needs and wants. The need meter tells you how hungry, dirty or lonely a Sim is. There is also an aspiration meter, which measures how successful the Sim is in fulfilling their goals. Cheats for these needs include clicking rapidly on the Sim's face. This slows down the need bar, but you also can't do anything else with the Sim while you're doing this task.
Miscellaneous
- Other useful cheats include "water_tool" to make the Sim's house into an island, "edit_char" to edit a Sim's traits, "move_objects" to move objects freely in the game, "interests" to display a Sim's interests and "map_edit" lets you alter your game map. You can also alter your Sim's free will level by typing in autonomy into the cheat box and choose a range from 1-1,000.
