Level 8 Boss
Although the bosses are supposed to get progressively more difficult as the game progresses, the level 8 boss is particularly tricky. The best way to approach him is with a keen sense of anticipation. Knowing that you are bound to at least lose a few lives during combat, go into the final battle with as many lives stocked up as possible. Remember, it̵7;s not all bad̵2;each time you die, your bombs are replenished. Keep hitting the boss at its center with the bombs until he is defeated. This battle is won or lost by your efficient play during level 8, allowing you to go into battle prepared.
Unlock Everything
Perhaps you̵7;ve had the game for a while, and despite your best efforts are unable to advance to the next level. There is a solution--the file in Resources will effectively unlock every level in the game, allowing you to cheat and experience all of the 100-plus levels in the game.
Be careful when you run this file, as it can erase your saved game file. It̵7;s best to back up all files before proceeding.
Trainers
A trainer is a program that allows you to modify pre-existing games so that certain things become available (such as weapons, food and health) making the game much easier to complete. By using this "Star Defender 2" trainer in Resources, you will be allowed to increase the number of lives per level as well as choose from the most powerful weapons in the game. It does not allow you to unlock levels, however, so you can still play the game through as normal, only on what amounts to ̶0;god mode.̶1;
