Fellowship of the Rings
In "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring," you can earn money quickly. Follow the East Road just outside of Hobbiton to a ledge above the stumps. Enter the house on the ledge and approach the bookcase. Press the action button to receive one gold coin. Leave the house, re-enter and repeat to receive another gold coin. You can do this as many times as necessary until you've stockpiled the amount of gold you need.
Return of the King
"The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" has several cheat codes that come in handy during the intense battle sequences. Pause the game at any time, and enter "8," "7," "6" and "9" to unlock the four-hit combo for Aragon, or enter "6," "8," "7" and "4" while holding "Left CTRL," "ALT," and "SHIFT" at the pause screen to unlock all of Gandalf's Level 4 attacks and abilities.
Other cheat codes can be entered at the pause screen. Hold "Left CTRL," "Left ALT" and "Left SHIFT" while entering any of the following codes to unlock the desired effect. Press "7," "7," "5" and "5" to restore your health; "7," "7," "9" and "5" for infinite ammo; and "8," "9," "6" and "7" for instant upgrades. In order to make sure you always deal devastating attacks, enter the code "6," "8," "6" and "9," and to enable Targeting Mode, enter "9," "5," "8" and "7." To unlock everything the game has to offer, enter "7," "5," "7" and "8" to enable God Mode.
Battle for Middle Earth
"The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth" was the third game in the franchise released for the PC, and it may be the most easiest to cheat. Simply open up the file called "skirmishstats.ini" in your game's data folder, and you can use a simple text editor to set your player's stats to whatever you wish. Note, this only works for players used in Skirmish Mode.
