How to Remove the Population Cap on Age of Empires

"Age of Empires" is a real-time strategy game where players must gather resources to raise an army and defeat rival tribes or nations. Age of Empires forces players to construct housing units for soldiers and workers. Without these houses, players cannot construct units; however, the game limits the unit population to 50 soldiers and workers per player. Despite this game flaw, players can exploit a game glitch to produce more units than allotted.

Instructions

  Construct 49 units. After you have constructed enough units, gather more resources to build additional units.

  Select the building that produces units such as a barrack.
- 3
  Construct additional units. Since the population cap is set to 50 units, select and build the 50th unit. As the 50th unit builds, click on additional units within the selected building to construct. This will add the additional constructed units to a queue, and when the 50th unit finishes, the queued units will construct adding units beyond the population cap.
