Gangs Only
To empty the game of everyone but gang members, press "L2," "Up," "R1," "R1," "Left," "R1," "R1," "R2," "Right," "Down." This cheat will eliminate all of the pedestrians and workers, leaving only gunmen. There will be no traffic outside of gang territories.
Gangs and Workers
To eliminate all of the game's normal pedestrians, press "Left," "Right," "Right," "Right," "Left," "X," "Down," "Up," "Square," "Right." This code will leave only gang members, police, firefighters, paramedics and shopkeepers in the streets.
Gang Recruiting
To recruit anyone into your gang, press "R2," R2," "R2," "X," "L2," "L1," "R2," "L1," "Down," "X." After the onscreen message appears, lock on to any pedestrian or rival gang member and press Up on the D-pad to recruit him. Your new gang member will receive a rocket launcher if he doesn't already have a gun. You may first have to enter "Down," "Square," "Up," "R2," "R2," "Up," "Right," "Right," "Up" for this code to work. This code will enable you to recruit in the same manner, but your new ally will receive a 9mm gun instead of a rocket launcher.
Pedestrian Attack
To turn the normally docile pedestrians into gun-wielding attackers, press "X", "L1," "Up," "Square," "Down," "X," "L2," "Triangle," "Down," "R1," "L1," "L1." For a full-scale riot, enter "Down," "Left," "Up," "Left," "X," "R2," "R1," "L2," "L1."
City in Chaos
To fill the city with riots, looting and burning buildings, enter "L2," "Right," "L1," "Triangle," "Right," "Right," "R1," "L1," "Right," "L1," "L1," "L1."
Warning
If you're still playing through the game's main story, avoid overusing the cheat codes until you've saved Madd Dogg from jumping off the casino roof. Madd Dogg will jump within a few seconds if you've used cheat codes 500 or more times. This scenario will make it nearly impossible to save him and advance the game's plot.
