How to Unlock Characters

• There are seven hidden characters in "Final Fantasy Tactics." But to gain a character and command it, you must first be in Chapter 4 and have Mustadio in order for a hidden character to appear. To unlock the Balthier character, for example, you will need to win the battle he faces when leaving Dorter. As you continue to play, he will meet Beowulf, where it is up to you to bring him to Goland. During the journey, and only after a series of battles, will you have unlocked Beowulf. Other characters will also be unlocked as you continue on in the storyline of the game.

Role Playing of Characters

• The role playing of characters is a big part of the game. It is your mission to assume the various different roles and abilities based on job classes to get through the game. To be able play the different roles, you need to unlock any given character's ability to use the job. These job classes are found on the different game levels, so there are many opportunities of using a job. Game Play Hints and Cheats

• "Final Fantasy Tactics" features a debug mode that can display game options for you. Just input the following two GameShark codes: D0198090 0000 and 80198090 0006. To unlock a hidden sound test menu, enter "PolkaPolka." During game play, it is important for you to pick up the rare items that come across to be able to use them in battles to overtake your opponents. The Dragon's Whisker will be yours when you poach the Red Dragon and the Zwill Straightblade is yours after poaching the Vampire Cat. And to see the face of the monster that's going to be born, go to the editing screen and put an egg in the bottom row. Then place the cursor on top and press "Right" or "Left."

Walkthrough Cheats

• To be able to gain female characters, you will need to still have the Agrias' guards Lavian and Alicia from Chapter 1 while in Chapter 4 when Mustadio gives the birthday gift to Agrias. To be able to kill the undead easily, you can use the healing spells or the potion on them. This will not have a healing effect as it appears, but will do damage to the undead instead. To be able to gain weapons, armor, shields and accessories, you must be in Melee Mode. And to level up easily, locate the map where a plus sign-shaped area can be found.
