PS2 Cheats for Sniper Elite

"Sniper Elite" was released on October 18, 2005 for the PlayStation 2. As the name suggests, the game play is focused primarily on stealth combat as you play the role of an elite American sniper during the battles of World War II. Select from 28 individual missions to introduce you to a variety of embattled towns and environments. Due to its violent and graphic game play, "Sniper Elite" has been rated "M for Mature" by the Electronic Software Rating Board.
  1. Main Cheat Mode

    • The main cheat mode in "Sniper Elite" can be accessed by creating a new profile with the name "reb00." Doing so will unlock every mission immediately and give you access to some of the game's other cheats. After creating your new profile, pause the game and select "Cheats." Here you'll be able to enable various cheats, including "God Mode," "Infinite Ammunition," "Infinite Projectiles," "Silent Mode" and "Invisible Mode." These cheats can also be disabled in the same manner they were turned on.

    Miscellaneous Cheats

    • Other cheats can be activated in "Sniper Elite" by entering a specific name for your profile. Enter the name "Stealth" to make all of your shots silent, enter "Ratbombs" to enable exploding rats (you'll need to shoot them first) and enter "Panzer" to enable bullets that explode on impact and cause a lot more damage.

    Machine Gun or Sniper Rifle?

    • Though the main focus of combat in "Sniper Elite" is on long-range, tactical warfare, there are some instances where you may find yourself up close and personal with an enemy soldier. In order to be prepared for any combat situation that may arise, you should be armed with your machine gun at all times. Not only will you be ready for any close-quarters situations that may arise, but you can quickly press the "R3" button to switch to your sniper rifle the moment you spot an enemy that is farther away.

    Secret Mission

    • The main single-player campaign of "Sniper Elite" is comprised of 28 missions, though there is a secret mission available. Complete all 28 missions in "Sniper Elite" using any difficulty setting to unlock the secret mission.

    Third-Person View

    • "Sniper Elite" uses a first-person perspective by default, but you can take advantage of a hidden third-person view in order to help spot hidden enemies and plan out your next move. Simply hold the "R2" button until a camera icon appears in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to enter third-person view. You can use the "Up" or "Down" button to zoom your view in and out.
