Learn how to drive. The controls for Stuntman: Ignition on the PS2 are like most driving video games, so the learning curve isn't too steep. Your left analog stick steers, the "X" button is your gas and the circle button is your e-brake. The square button is your brake and reverse button, while the "R1" button is your action button. These are the basics you need to know to get started.
Start your stuntman career. In career mode on Stuntman: Ignition for PS2, you will have to complete various scenes on six different movies. Depending on how well you complete each scene, you will receive stars that will go towards unlocking other movies and bonuses. You have five strikes on each scene, so if you miss more than five stunts, you will have to start over.
Build your own stunt courses with constructor mode. In constructor mode, you get to place ramps, objects, cameras, special effects and more in a closed course that you can then drive through. You can save your course and come back to perfect it later. You can also unlock new vehicles for the constructor mode by completing scenes in the career mode.
String out your run for the ultimate score. This is the most challenging thing to do in Stuntman: Ignition on the PS2, and it is the only way to get five stars on the scenes. Stringing it means that you hit all of the stunts from start of the scene to the end of the scene without any breaks. This means that you have to add your own stunts, like gaps and close passes, to keep the string going. If you can string it on several different scenes, you are the ultimate stuntman.
