Instructions
Play through the story mode of the game until you reach the cutscene in Year Two that starts a battle between Harry and the Basilisk.
Run to the pile of rocks in the back-right area of the battlefield. Avoid the Basilisk̵7;s laser gaze, as it will turn you to stone. Stand still until the Basilisk throws its head at the rocks to get to you. This will damage the Basilisk and reveal a hidden room with a snake in it. Have Harry speak to it in Parseltongue. A potion ingredient will appear.
Take the ingredient to the cauldron near the bottom of the battlefield screen.
Stand in front of the second rock formation just south of the first. Wait for the snake to slam its head into the rocks. This time a boulder appears. Use Wingardium Leviosa to open the rock and find the second potion ingredient. Add it to the cauldron.
Go to the last pile of rocks on the left side of the battlefield. Stand in front of the pile until the Basilisk slams its head into the rocks.
Open the boulder that is left behind by removing the vines with the Lumos spell and lifting the top off the rock with the Wingardium Leviosa spell. A dancing skeleton will appear and drop a potion ingredient. Add the ingredient to the cauldron to make a strength potion. Drink the potion.
Run up the stairs on the left side of the screen and pull the chain. Wait for the cutscene to play. Run back to the cauldron and attack the Basilisk with any spell until it disappears. Race back up the stairs and enter the area revealed when you pulled the chain.
Use Wingardium Leviosa to attach the chains on each side of the pipe. Work with your computer-controlled teammate to lower the pipe with the Wingardium Leviosa spell. Climb into the pipe.
Approach the Sorting Hat. Avoid the Basilisk as he tries to knock you backward. Lift the hat with the Wingardium Leviosa spell to reveal the Sword of Gryffindor. Hide in the nook behind the sorting hat and raise the sword to the blue spot near the Basilisk. The sword will kill the Basilisk, ending the battle.
