How to Save a Need for Speed Carbon Game on the PS3

The alias feature on "Need for Speed: Carbon" lets you auto-save your game progress to your PS3 hard drive. When you first start the game, you will be prompted to create a custom account and name that identifies you and your achievements. The game allows you to create multiple aliases that can be loaded in the options screen. This way, you and a friend can both play the career mode on the same PS3 system and keep your saved games separate.

      Start the PS3 and "Need for Speed: Carbon" game. Wait for the game to ask you to create an "alias." This happens automatically when start the game for the first time on your system. If you already have an alias and want to create another, scroll down to "Career" under the game's main menu and select "Start New Career," then select "Yes" to create the new alias.

      Enter in your desired name and character details using the controller and on-screen option menu, then agree to create the alias.

      Go back to the game's main menu and scroll down to "Options." Under the option list, make sure that "Auto-save" is set to "On." If not enabled, you will have to manually save your game through your career. With this enabled, your progress will automatically save after you complete check marks in the game.

      Go to the "Career" menu at any point during your game if you do not have the auto-save function enabled. Select "Save" from the menu and click "OK" to agree to save your current game.
