How to Download Free Songs for American Idol for Playstation 3

Playstation 3 (PS3) offers a variety of video games. Karaoke Revolution is one of these games. With the use of a microphone that connects to the PS3 console, a player can sing along to a wordless karaoke track. The voice of the player is judged on screen based on how well he hits each note. Some songs are provided with the game. Others songs can be purchased and added to the game. However, some can be downloaded for free.

Instructions

  Visit a free download site that contains American Idol songs. Links to download sites are provided in the download section.

  Click the file of the song that you would like to download. Allow the download to complete. Save the file to your choice of location on your computer.

  Visit a site that contains a free download for CDG to PS3 conversion. A link to one of these sites is provided in References.

  Click the download button or the name of the CDG converter file. This will trigger the download to start. Save the download in your choice of location on your computer.

  Launch the CDG converter. Locate and click the file on your computer.

  Open the CDG files that you would like to download in your CDG converter. Click the button on the converter window that will allow you to open a file window. Some converters say "Convert File." Others say "Open File." The text on the button will depend on which file you choose to use.

  Click the CDG file in the file window. This will open the file in the CDG converter and begin the conversion process. Some converters will require you to click "Convert" or something similar to begin the actual conversion.

  Visit a site that has free downloads that will allow you to burn Blu-Ray discs that are compatible with PS3.

  Click the file name of the Blu-Ray burner file to begin the download. Save the file to your choice of locations on your computer.

  Launch the burner software. Click the file on your computer.

  Insert the Karaoke Revolution PS3 game disc into you computer's disc drive.

  Click "Destination" from the drop-down menu of the Blu-Ray burner program. Choose the recorder drive as your destination.

  Choose the files that you would like to burn. Locate and click the files from the file window on the Blu-Ray burner program screen. Click "Burn." This will burn the new songs on to the game disc.
