In Oblivion on PS3 How Do I Lockpick?

"Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion" was released for PlayStation 3 in 2007. In the game, players can choose from multiple different species of characters. After choosing a species, they can further customize the personalities and traits of their characters. Non-magic characters will have to utilize lock-picking skills throughout the game. Locks range from easy to difficult to pick, but players must utilize the same method for each lock. Lock picking comes in handy while completing missions, as well as during general exploration.

  Choose a pin to push up with your controller. Scroll to the pin using the arrows and situate the lock pick below the pin.

  Time your moves carefully to successfully pick the lock. Press up on the pin and hit "X" at the exact moment the pin touches the top of the lock. Listen for a double-clicking noise. This will indicate the exact moment at which you should hit "X."
- 3
  Push all the pins up with this technique until the lock opens. If one pin falls, your pick will break and they will all fall. When this happens you must restart the process.
