Cheats for Marvel Nemesis Rise of the Imperfects for PSP

In the PSP game "Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects," heroes and villains from the Marvel comic book universe face off against original characters created specifically for this entry into the fighting genre. A big part of your time with the game will be spent unlocking each character by playing through the story mode multiple times.
  1. Unlocking Characters

    • At the start of "Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects," you will only have access to The Thing and Johnny Ohm, each representing their respective universes. In order to unlock other characters for use in the game, you will first need to complete the game once as either character. Completing the game with Johnny Ohm unlocks Iron Man, and The Thing unlocks Brigade. When you're attempting to unlock characters, save completing the game with The Thing until the end. Starting with Johnny Ohm, complete the game each time with the character that unlocks next. For example, Johnny Ohm unlocks Iron Man, then finishing the game with Iron Man unlocks Venom, who then unlocks Spider-Man and Wolverine. Finishing the game with Brigade does not unlock any additional character on his own, but when you finish the game with all 15 unlockable characters, you'll obtain Doctor Doom, the most powerful fighter in the game.

    Special Moves

    • The goal of each round of combat in the game is to fully drain the health gauge of your opponent. To do this, you will need to combine not only offensive and defensive moves but also learn how to make use of your special moves. During a match, notice that you have a power bar located beneath your health bar. Filling this bar will allow you to unleash special attacks that can quickly end the match. However, using each of your special attacks will drain the meter. While the bar will fill on its own, dodge away from your opponent and hold down the "R" button to perform a power stand--this will fill the bar much quicker--and by the time your opponent reaches you, pressing "R" again will unleash your moves. Along with the power stand, you can also fill your power meter by successfully blocking the attacks of your foe. Pressing "Triangle" before an attack makes contact with your player will result in a successful block and a bit of power added to your meter. Be careful though because some special moves cannot be blocked, and it is better to dodge them and save your health.

    Rage Meter

    • Located on the left of your health meter is the rage meter. While the power meter controls your special moves, the rage meter allows you to unleash as many special moves as you wish without your power meter depleting. In order to fill this meter, you cannot play the game defensively. Each attack you land on your opponent will fill a bit of the meter. The more attacks you throw out there, the faster it will fill. While it can be difficult to fill the rage meter during a single round, it will carry over between rounds, but if you want to quickly get through the game, especially to unlock characters, you can do the following.: Set the game on easy and spend the first round in each match just using punches and kicks on your opponent. Your rage meter will be filled by the second round, which means you can use all of your special moves to end the match in a small amount of time. Repeat this to finish the game with each character much faster than normal.
