How to Get Hard Armor Spheres

"Monster Hunter Freedom Unite" is a video game published in 2008 by Capcom for Sony's PlayStation Portable. In this fantasy action role-playing game, players seek and destroy various monsters. To defend yourself in battle, you must equip your characters with various types of armor. You can increase an armor's defense rating by adding specific armor spheres into sphere slots. Hard armor spheres increase the defense rating of a piece of armor by two. You can add them only to armor that has a purple rating.

Combining Items

  Purchase an armor stone from item shop in the Pokke village.

  Go to the bug thicket and use the bug net to capture insects. Eventually, you will capture a King Scarab. Store the King Scarab in your item box.

  Use your mining skill at various mining spots throughout "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite" until you obtain Carbalite Ore. You will have the best chance of mining Carbalite Ore in the Mining Point area.

  Go into your item box and select the armor stone. Choose "Combine" from the menu and then select the Carbalite Ore and King Scarab. Confirm that you want to combine these items, and the game may produce a hard armor sphere. The success rate of combining items to produce a hard armor sphere is dependent on the number Book of Combos you have discovered.
Obtaining Hard Armor Spheres

  Beat monsters throughout "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite" to have a chance of receiving a hard armor sphere as loot.

  Mine various sources of minerals to have a chance of discovering a hard armor sphere.

  Go bomb mining at Pokke Farm to have a chance of receiving hard armor spheres.

  Talk to the character named Trenya in the Pokke Farms level. He will be standing next to a boat located on the shore of the level. For completing missions for Trenya, you will be given a number of random rewards. Complete the the missions available from Trenya to have a chance of receiving hard armor spheres.

  Go to the weapons shop and buy items from the store owner. At various points throughout "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite," the store owner will provide you with gifts for being a good customer. These gifts have a chance of being hard armor spheres. Maintain a good relationship with the store owner by shopping there often to increase your chance of receiving gifts from the store owner.
