How to Add Music to a PSP Slim

Sony's PlayStation Portable, or PSP, is an all-inclusive portable device. You can play video games either alone or with friends on the Internet as well as surf the Internet and play music downloaded from a computer or a memory card. With downloaded music, you can use the device as an MP3 player with headphones connected and enjoy your own music without disturbing others.

Instructions

      Plug one end of the USB cable into the PSP Slim and the other end into the computer or plug the Memory Stick into the USB port of the computer.

      Click "Settings" on the PSP and select "USB connection." Press "X" to enter the PSP into USB mode.

      Click "Start" at the bottom of the computer screen.

      Click "All Programs" and click "Windows Media Player."

      Click the "Sync" menu located at the top right portion of Windows Media Player. The PSP or Memory Stick, as well as the available space, will appear in the sync window.

      Hold "Ctrl" while clicking all of the desired tracks to highlight them.

      Click and drag the songs over to the sync window and drop the songs.

      Click "Sync." The window will give the status of the sync and say "Complete" when finished. The light on the PSP will also turn off when complete.

      Disconnect the PSP or Memory Stick from the computer.
