Instructions
Open the disk tray on the PS2 system by pressing the button on the front to open the lid.
Lay the DVD on the tray with the label side up. Make sure the disk is seated securely on the spindle before closing the lid so no damage to the disk or PS2 occurs. Close the lid.
Press the power button on the PS2 to turn it on. The device will read the disk automatically. A menu may appear asking you to enter a password or, if you have not done so yet, to set one as a parental control.
Use the controller or, if you have purchased one, a DVD remote that you can buy as an accessory to the PS2. Enter the 4-digit code for the parental control password. If you don't remember your code, you can enter 7444 and the menu will navigate you through selecting a new one. Once the password is entered, you can access the DVD menu.
Scroll through menu options using the directional pad on the controller or arrow buttons on the remote. On the controller, selections are made by using the "Select" button and confirming the action by pressing "X." To cancel an action, use the "O" button. The remote is designed to work nearly identically to a DVD-player remote, with similar buttons; however, it also has the same buttons as the controller, such as the "X" and "O."
Choose "Play" to begin the DVD. You can access an options menu by pressing "Select" after the DVD has begun, for detailed actions such as chapter playback and repeat, or to find a particular point on the DVD. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the movie.
