How to Copy Files Onto a PS2 Memory Card

The Sony PlayStation 2 video game console is still a very popular gaming system even a decade after its release. However, time will take its toll on your PS2&'s electronic accessories, so it&'s important to know how to transfer your game files to newer memory cards just in case the older memory card may fail. While copying files from one card to another is simple, be aware that if you have save files from the same game on both memory cards, the copied files will overwrite the older save files.

     Insert both memory cards into "Slot 1" and "Slot 2" of your PS2.

     Turn on the PS2.

     Select "Browser" from the PS2&'s main menu by pressing the "X" button.

     Select the memory card icon that you want to copy a file from by pressing the "X" button.

   • 5

     Select the game file you wish to copy.

   • 6

     Select "Copy" from the list of options presented, then select the second memory card icon as the destination for the copied file.
