How to Put Codes on Action Replay MAX for PS2

  Turn on your PlayStation 2 and eject the disc tray. Place the Action Replay MAX CD in the tray and close it, then wait for it to load. Ensure that you have a memory card or appropriate storage device inserted into the console.

  Navigate and select "Expert Mode" at the Home menu of the Action Replay MAX. After that, select the "[Add new game]" option.

  Enter a name for the game you wish to add codes into. Use the controller to navigate between the letters using the directional pad, and press the "X" button to type them in or the "Square" button to delete them. Navigate to "DONE" and press "X" when finished putting in a game name.

  Enter a Master Code using the same button sequences for typing in a game name. You cannot add new codes unless you input a Master Code first. Select "DONE" again when finished typing in the Master Code for the game.

  Select the "Enter New Code" option for your game. Type in a name for the new code and choose "OK" to proceed to the code input screen.

  Input a code into the appropriate fields, approximately 13 characters long for each line. When finished, choose "OK" and repeat Steps 5 and 6 as many times as necessary until you have added enough new codes.
