Instructions
Power off your PlayStation 2.
Unplug the controller and then plug it back in.
Lay the controller flat on the ground facing upward and power on your PlayStation 2. Make sure nothing is obstructing the analog sticks. They should be pointing straight up.
Hold the controller and rotate both analog sticks in a complete circle at the same time using your thumbs.
Start playing a game and check to see whether the LED light at the center of the controller is lit. Some games support the analog feature of the PS2, while some don't. Refer to the game's user manual or the back of the game case to determine whether this affects you. Games that use the analog function require the center LED to be lit. Press the button by the LED to turn it on.
Go to the game's options menu and search for the controller settings menu. Some games lack this function, and how you access the menu varies from title to title. Read the game's user manual for specifics on how to access and adjust the controller settings for the game.
