How to Make Money in Dragon Quest 8

In Dragon Quest 8 for the PlayStation 2, the Argonian bazaar is an adventurer̵7;s dream come true. Peddlers offer an array of weapons, armor and items that can be a huge benefit for your party. However, all these items cost hard-earned money to buy. Fortunately, there is a fast way to make money in Dragon Quest 8: fight battles on the Isle of Neos at level 37 or above.

Making Money from Gold Golems

  Go to the desert Isle of Neos.

  Adventure around the southern part of the island to battle the Gold Golems that appear there. Gold Golems only appear during the day.

  Fight the Gold Golems when you encounter them. They can appear as a single golem or in a group of up to four. Each golem you defeat will give you 54 experience points and 726 gold.

  Steal Gold Bracers and Gold Rings from the Gold Golems for extra loot to sell. These items are sometimes also random drops from the fight.
More Gold Golem Strategies

  Go to the desert Isle of Neos.

  Adventure around the southern part of the island to battle the Gold Golems that appear there. Gold Golems only appear during the day.

  Stay alert for groups of Gold Golems and Tap Devils when they appear together.

  Defeat the Gold Golems first and do not kill the Tap Devils.

  Allow the Tap Devils to cast the ̶0;Kerplunk̶1; spell. If the spell works, this will revive the Gold Golems and kill the Tap Devils.
