Instructions
Create your character. Then, choose "American Idol" mode to go through the "American Idol" competition, and select single or multi-player contest. Determine if you want a short or medium contest or if you want to do the full-length contest as they do on TV.
Select a song. Choose a song that you know well enough to stay on key and get a decent score. Sing the song by reading the lyrics on the screen and following the blue bars to determine note range and pitch. The blue bars will turn green as you hit the notes and the crowd noise will give you an indication of how well you are doing.
Listen as the judges, Randy, Simon and Laura (in place of Paula Abdul) give you their critiques. They'll give you an indication of how well you stayed on pitch and how high of a score you achieved on the song.
Watch to see who is eliminated once you get to the voting rounds. You'll be able to see who the highest vote-getters were by the number of stars. Continue your way through the competition and become the American Idol by being the last contestant standing.
