How to Get Gold Characters in Guilty Gear

"Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus," a one-on-one fighting game for the PlayStation 2, Wii and PlayStation Portable, offers many secrets for players to unlock. In addition to hidden characters and game modes, each character has a number of alternate colors and forms. A character's gold form gives it a unique advantage. For example, gold Sol has increased damage, while gold May's special attacks hit an opponent an additional number of times. In addition to unlocking the gold character forms, you must also know how to select them from the character selection screen before you can use them.

Instructions

  Launch "Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus." Press "Start" on the "Guilty Gear" title screen.

  Select "Survival."

  Select a character from the character selection screen.

  Defeat enemies until you are challenged by the gold version of a character. In Survival mode, you must defeat enemies one after another. As you play, you gain levels based on your performance, shown in the top left of the screen. At intervals of 20, beginning at Level 620, you are challenged by a gold version of a character, at which point you automatically fight that character.

  Defeat the gold character to unlock the ability to play as that character. You can only select the gold versions of characters you have beaten in survival.

  Place the cursor over the character whose gold form you want to use on the character selection screen.

  Press the "Respect" button twice to access the Slash color mode on the character selection screen.

  Press the "Dust" button to select the gold form of that character.
