How to Start Apps in PS2 Black Rhino

"Black Rhino" is a Linux distribution designed specifically for the Sony PlayStation 2 console. Black Rhino is based on Debian Linux, so many of the applications that work in Debian will also work with Black Rhino. With the purchased "Linux for PlayStation 2" kit comes a keyboard, mouse and hard disk drive to use, along with a copy of Black Rhino. Fortunately, once Black Rhino is installed, running applications is easy and straight forward.

Instructions

    • 1

Power on your PS2 and boot into Black Rhino Linux.

    • 2

Type "startx" (opening the first application using one method) to load an "X" session in Linux.

    • 3

Click "Applications" and select a submenu item, then click on the application to start (second method of opening applications).
