How to Get Swing & Rock Climbing Abilities in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks for PS2

"Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks" is a 2005 action adventure game, released for PS2 and Xbox. It is most similar to an arcade style beat-em-up in which players control either Liu Kang or Kung Lao (or an assortment of unlockable characters) in their quest to reach Shao Khan's Lair to defeat him. To access new areas in the game, your characters must obtain special skills by defeating bosses.

Instructions

- 1
  Head to the Living Forest and enter the portal in the snake's mouth in Area 4. Encounter the gigantic snake and knock down the pillars in each room to escape from it, trapping it in the fourth room when you knock down the last pillar.

  Encounter Reptile and defeat him. Pick up the Dragon Coin he leaves behind and gain the Wall Climb ability.

  Use the Wall Climb to enter the Soul Tombs. Defeat Baraka here to gain the Wall Jump.

  Use the Wall Climb and Wall Jump to reach the next portal, which takes you to the Wastelands, where you must defeat Sub-Zero and Goro. Exit this area, then use the double jump in the hub world to reach the sixth portal, the Dead Pool.
- 5
  Throw or uppercut the Putrid Corpses that attack you in this area onto the hooks surrounding the pit. Once you've landed five Putrid Corpses on the hook, a Golden Koin will appear at the end of this area. Picking this up will gain you the "Swing" ability.
