How to Get Your PS3 Game Saves Onto Your Computer

Video games record your progress in save files on to your PlayStation3's hard disk. If you want to get the save files on your PS3's hard disk to your computer, you must first copy the save files to a flash drive. You can the copy the save files from the flash drive to your computer.

FAT32 Flash Drive

  Insert a FAT32 flash drive into a USB port on your PS3.

  Select the option labeled "Saved Data Utility."

  Click "Start," and then click "Computer."

  Select a save file and press the "Triangle" button.

  Select "Copy." Next, select "USB Device." Your PS3 will now back up the save file to the flash drive.

  Repeat this process for any other save files that you want to back up.

  Remove the flash drive and connect it to a USB port on your computer.

  Click "Start" and then click "Computer."

  Right-click the flash drive icon and select "Copy."
