How to Hook Up a PS3 With Move

The PlayStation Move uses advanced motion control and tracking capabilities to give the player more control over their virtual avatars, compared to the traditional video game controller. PlayStation Move works exclusively with the PlayStation 3 video game system and requires some minor setup and calibration before use. The PlayStation Move controller tracks a user's movements via internal sensors within the controller and the light located at the front of the controller. The PlayStation Eye Camera is required for use with the PlayStation Move and is sold separately.

  Charge your PlayStation Move controller by plugging in the mini-USB port into the controller and the USB port into the PS3.

  Insert the safety strap into the PlayStation Move by threading the small end of the strap through the loop at the bottom of the controller. Tuck the large end of the strap in-between the smaller strap and pull to tighten the strap.

  Turn on the PS3 system and keep the USB cable plugged in. Press the "PS" button on the PlayStation Move controller to pair the controller with the PS3 system. Each PlayStation Move controller needs to be paired with the PS3 prior to your first use of the controller.

  Set the PlayStation Eye Camera to the wide-angle view by turning the lens of the camera clockwise. Align the lens-angle marker with the blue-lens angle indicator on the camera. Connect the attached USB cord on the PlayStation Eye Camera to a USB connector on the PS3. The camera may be positioned either at the top-center or bottom-center of the television.
