Using HDMI Cable
Connect the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of your PS3, and then connect it to any open "HDMI INPUT" on the back of your Phillips Magnavox TV if you're using an HD model. If your TV has more than one HDMI Input, select any one of them, but make note of the port's number.
Turn on your TV, and the turn on your gaming console to launch your game's XMB menu.
Press the "Input" button on your remote control and select the HDMI Input channel to which you connected your game.
Using Component Video Cable
Connect the AV pin on your component video cable to the AV port on the back of your PS3 gaming console.
Connect the color-coded pins on the other end of the cable to the "Component Video" inputs on the back of your Phillips Magnavox TV. The pins are for video and audio connections. Make sure you match the pins to the colors on the inputs.
Turn on your TV and turn on your gaming console to launch your game's XMB menu.
Press the "Input" button on your remote control and select the channel to which you connected your gaming console.
Using AV Cable
Connect the AV pin on the AV cable to the AV port on the back of your PS3 gaming console.
Connect the RCA pins on the other end of the cable to the yellow, red and white inputs on your Phillips Magnavox TV. Yellow is for video, and red and white are for audio signals.
Turn on your TV, and the turn on your gaming console to launch your game's XMB menu.
Press the "Input" button on your remote control and select the channel to which you connected your gaming console.
