How to Hook Shot in NBA 2K11

"NBA 2K11" is a basketball video game featuring all the NBA teams and stadiums. With advanced control techniques, players can perform all the special shots and tricks athletes use in real life. With a hook shot, players "posted up" on an opposing player can score an easy bucket and avoid getting blocked when down low. Even those unfamiliar with the move can perform a hook shot, after just a few minutes of practice.

Instructions

  Pass the ball to a player on your team who is open underneath the hoop and in the paint. You can pass on the PS3 by pressing the "X" button or on the Xbox 360 by pressing the "A" button.

  Hold the "R2" and "L2" buttons on the PS3 controller or the "RT" and "LT" buttons on the Xbox 360 controller. Push the left joystick toward the defender, to turn your back to them and engage them.

  Move the right joystick to the left or right while engaged, to perform a hook shot to the left or right of the defender. For example, if you want to hook shot to the left of the defender, push the right stick to the left.
