How to Launch OpenSplit on the PS3

Open Split is a software package that allows you to split large files into your games through the Open Manager 1.0 file management utility on your PlayStation 3 gaming system. Open Manager is a hacker-community backup manager application designed for use with jailbroken PS3 systems. This software package helps split the files that are larger than 4 gigabytes. The process of launching Open Split on your PS3 is fairly straightforward.

  Scroll to the Open Manager option in the XMB menu on your PS3 display.

  Select the "Split BIG files to .666xx" to select the desired game folder. Navigate through the subfolders within the main game folder, using the "Up/Down" arrow buttons on your game controller, to locate the file you want the split. Press the "X" button on your controller to select a file.

  Select the checkbox labeled "Don't delete splitted BIG / merged .666xx files," then press the "X" button on your controller to begin the file-split.
