How to Install a PS3 Filer V003

Modern game systems, like the PlayStation 3, can support video games with state-of-the-art graphics. But if you're feeling nostalgic for the kinds of games you played on earlier game systems like the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), you can add an NES emulator to the PS3 console. One of those emulators is PS3 Filer V.0.03. It can be downloaded right from your PS3 and installed in the system immediately.

Instructions

  Turn on your PS3. Use the directional pad on the controller to scroll through the options in the main menu until you come to "Internet." Press "X" to select.

  Log onto the PS3 network with your username and password. The browser menu will appear on screen.

  Navigate to a website that offers the PS3 Filer emulator for download (see References).

  Press "X" to download the emulator to your PS3 and exit out of the Internet.

  Scroll through the list of options in the main menu of your PS3 and select the emulator when you come to it. The emulator will launch and you can select from many various NES game titles to play right on your PS3.
