How to Backup Protected PS3 Saves

Many of the games designed for the PlayStation 3 take several hours to complete. To avoid forcing a player to re-start a game from the beginning, the console features a hard drive that saves a player's gaming progress. Protected saves are those gaming files that cannot be transferred to a different console. However, protected files can be transferred to an external USB drive in case a file on the hard drive is inadvertently deleted.
