How to Bring Up Netflix on a PS3

Netflix, the popular video-streaming and DVD-by-mail service, has been hard at work bringing the streaming service to as many devices as possible, including the PlayStation 3 video game console. To use Netflix on the PS3, you must first download the free application from Sony's PlayStation Store. Once the app is installed and activated, users can stream high-definition movies via the PS3 to their television.

  Navigate to the "PlayStation Network" in the main menu of the PS3 and select "PlayStation Store."

  Select "Netflix" and click "Download" to begin downloading the application to your PlayStation 3. You will need to log in to your PlayStation Network account. It may be easiest to use the "Search" function to locate the application.

  Navigate back to the main PS3 menu. Select "Video," then "Netflix" to bring up the Netflix application. The first time you launch the application, you are asked to pair it with your Netflix account. You are given an activation code that must be plugged into your Netflix account via Web browser.
