How to Counter Submissions on UFC Undistputed 2010 for PS3

"UFC Undisputed 2010" is a mixed martial arts video game in which players take control of professional fighters. This game features more than 100 real fighters who are or were at one time a member of the UFC. Players use fighting styles that are based on how each fighter actually competes in the cage. Submissions are a major component of the game because players can quickly execute a submission to end a fight. If your fighter is caught in a submission hold, you must quickly react to ensure that he does not give up and lose the fight.

  Begin a new game of "UFC Undisputed 2010."

  Select your game play mode, your fighter and opponent.

  Begin the fight. If your character is taken down or knocked to the ground, your opponent will assume a dominant position on top of your fighter. Submission attacks become available while in this position.

  Rotate the right control stick clockwise to counter the submission hold. You must rotate the stick once the move is started and continue to do so until the submission hold is countered.

  Continue rotating the stick until your fighter is out from underneath the opponent. If he remains on top, the opponent will continue attacking with submission maneuvers and your fighter will eventually quit due to the attacks.
