How to Bind a PS3 Account to PSN

The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) offers a wide array of entertainment options - from playing a video game from their extensive catalog or watching movies at home with its built-in Blu Ray player. Binding your personal PS3 account to a PlayStation Network account will open many more gaming and entertainment options for you and your family. You can bind your home account with the PSN for access to thousands of games, movies, and entertainment utilities.

      Turn on the PlayStation 3 and enable Internet access. This is usually accomplished by plugging in your Ethernet cable into the PlayStation 3.

      Create a new account on your PlayStation 3. Do this by accessing the PS3's main menu, scrolling over to "Users," and scrolling down until you see "Create New User."

      Log onto your newly made account. You must do this to establish a link with your PlayStation 3's on-console account and your impending PlayStation Network account.

      From the PlayStation 3's main menu, scroll right until you reach an icon labeled "PlayStation Network." Scroll down at that icon until you reach "Sign Up for PlayStation Network."

      On the main menu of the PlayStation Network option select "Create New Account (New Users.)" Fill out all of your information and read over Sony's policies. Once completed, you have successfully created a PlayStation Network account.
