Instructions
Purchase a version 1.3 HDMI cable or higher. The PS3 is not compatible with lower-version HMDI cables.
Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the PS3̵7;s HDMI port. Plug the other end of this cable into the Sanyo TV̵7;s HDMI port. Make certain the cable is plugged in securely at each port.
Continually press the ̶0;Input̶1; button on the Sanyo remote control until the TV̵7;s video input setting is set to the HDMI source.
Turn off the PS3 (if applicable) to place the PS3 in standby mode. Press and hold the PS3̵7;s power button. Release after the LED power light changes from red to green and back to red again. Press the power button again to turn on the PS3. The PS3 should automatically detect the HDMI video output connection and reset the display settings for HDMI. If it doesn̵7;t, proceed to the next steps.
Plug the single plug end of the PS3̵7;s AV cable into the PS3̵7;s AV Multi output terminal. Connect the red, white and yellow AV plugs on the other end of this cable into the color-corresponding AV input jacks on the Sanyo TV set. These jacks are respectively labeled ̶0;Audio R,̶1; Audio L̶1; and ̶0;Video.̶1;
Continually press the ̶0;Input̶1; button on the Sanyo remote control until the TV̵7;s video input setting is set to the proper AV source.
Navigate to ̶0;Settings,̶1; ̶0;Display Settings,̶1; then ̶0;Video Output Settings̶1; in the PS3̵7;s XrossMediaBar. Select ̶0;HDMI.̶1; Follow the on-screen prompts to change the PS3̵7;s display settings to HDMI.
Change the Sanyo TV̵7;s video input setting back to HDMI. The picture from the PS3 should be displayed on the TV if all of the cable connections and setting configurations are set properly. Disconnect the AV cable from the PS3 and Sanyo TV.
