How to Activate a PS3 Blu-ray Remote Control

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) video-game system includes Bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to pair wireless Bluetooth devices such as controllers or headsets to the console. The pairing process, however, differs from accessory to accessory. For instance, pairing the console's optional Blu-ray remote is entirely different from pairing a controller. Use the PS3's accessory setup menus to pair your Blu-ray remote with your console.

     Power on your PS3 and press "PS" on the controller. A menu opens.

     Scroll to "Settings" in the menu.

     Select "Accessory Settings." More options appear.

     Select "Register BD Remote Control." Onscreen instructions appear.

     Hold down "Start" and "Enter" on the remote until a "Registering... Please Wait" message appears. After a few seconds a "Register Completed" message appears, indicating successful activation.
