How to Get Rid of Rough Edges on a PS3

The PS3, or PlayStation 3, is a gaming console designed by Sony Corporation that was first released in 2006. The PS3 supports multiple video modes, from standard 480p (for use with regular, non-HD TVs) to full HD 1080p (for use with HDTVs). If you have been noticing rough edges in the on-screen image coming from your PS3, there is an option you can enable in the PS3's AV Settings menu that will fix the problem.

     Press the triangle button on your PS3 controller to open the PS3 Control Panel.

     Select "AV Settings" from the Control Panel.

     Scroll down to "Mosquito Noise Reduction" and choose the "Enabled" option.

     Save the new setting and play the desired game. The edges on the picture should no longer look rough.
