How to Put Back the PS3 From Demo to Normal Mode

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) console is a multi-media device with built-in storage for video-game data, music, photos, videos and more. If your PS3 is operating in Demo mode, it will not have full-featured functionality. In order to access all the features of the PS3, you will need to enter a four-digit demo unlock code based on your PS3 software version.

Instructions

      Turn on your PS3 console and scroll over to the Settings icon located on the far-left of the main menu screen.

      Scroll down and select "System Settings." Click on "System Information." On the next screen, note your system software version. You will need to know which version you are using before you can unlock Normal mode.

      Press the "O" button twice on your controller, returning to the "Settings" menu.

      Scroll down to the "Security Settings" option and make sure it is highlighted.

      Press "L1," "R1," "Select," and "Square" buttons simultaneously and hold them until a message appears asking for a four-digit code.

      Enter the four -digit code based on the software version you found in Step 2.
