How to Bluetooth My iPod to My PS3

Apple's iPod Touch is the only model in the iPod line that has the ability to connect to Bluetooth networks. The device can also connect to other electronic components via Bluetooth for the purposes of sharing music and videos. For example, the Sony PlayStation 3 also supports a Bluetooth connection. This allows you to connect the two devices together and listen to your music on your television set through the console.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "Settings" menu on your PlayStation 3.

    • 2

Open the "Accessory Settings" category in the "Settings" menu.

    • 3

Choose the "Manage Bluetooth Devices" option. Select "Register New Device." From the list of options that appears, select "Start Scanning."

    • 4

Turn on your iPod Touch and select the "Settings" application. Tap "General" and "Bluetooth." Tap the word "Off" to turn Bluetooth on (if applicable). The word "Off" will change into the word "On," indicating that Bluetooth functionality has been enabled.

    • 5

Use your Dual Shock controller to select the iPod Touch from the menu of your PlayStation 3. The iPod Touch and the PlayStation 3 will now communicate with one another via a wireless Bluetooth connection.
