How to Tell If Your PS3 Will Die

The PlayStation 3 is a powerful gaming console developed by Sony. Like any electronic device, it is sometimes prone to failure. Knowing the signs that your PS3 is about to die or malfunction can prevent more intensive damage. Luckily, the PS3 does a good job of warning you when something is wrong with it if you pay close attention.

      Feel your PlayStation 3. If it feels extremely hot when on, this is a sign that it could be overheating, which could cause system failure.

      Take note of the power light. If the system randomly shuts off and the power light flashes red, this is an indication that there is an issue. Also, if the light flashes green, yellow then finally red, this means there is an issue with an internal component of your PS3.

      Look up any errors codes that you receive. These error codes could reveal larger issues with your system you should know about.
