How to Tell If You Have the Patch for Demon's Soul

The PlayStation 3 entertainment console provides one of the most interactive user interfaces for gaming platforms, as of 2011. Just like a PC, you are free to delete to unwanted patches or downloadable content from various video games or other forms of media. Using XMB (XrossMediaBar), the user interface for PlayStation 3, users can delete patches and play in "offline" mode, so as to avoid automatic patch acquisition.

  Turn your PlayStation 3 console on, if it was previously off.

  Navigate to the "Game Data Utility" screen on the Xcross Media Bar.

  Highlight "Demon's Souls" and view the stored data therein.

  Delete all existing game data if you want to play the game without any patches loaded (Asian version only).

  Restart your PlayStation 3 and disable your Internet connection to play in offline, unpatched mode.

  Load "Demon's Souls" while still offline.
